Caring for your cat

No, only cats from the same family share enclosures.

As we believe in the importance of exercise for your cat’s health and well-being, our cattery guests have complimentary access to one of our large exercise areas full of scratching trees, toys, logs and chairs for approximately 2 hours per day (we do not socialise cats unless they are from the same family). Every enclosure in the Apartment has an indoor and outdoor section connected with a cat flap, so even when it is not their turn to go in the exercise area, they can still enjoy the fresh air and overlook the exercise area and garden from the secured comfort of their Apartment.

All of our exercise areas have a covered roof.

All of our accommodation is heated and air conditioned.

Of course not, we love our older guests; many of them have been coming here since they were kittens. Our heated /airconditioned accommodation ensures that they are always at a comfortable temperature.

After 30 years of experience we can quickly tell if your cat is off colour. Our local vet is only a few minutes away and is ‘on-call’. We will advise you or your emergency contact person. If you prefer we can take your cat to your own vet an additional cost.

We do brush long-haired cats, but we have to charge a small fee for this service.

We do administer medications (excluding injections) and there is no additional charge. Please note that all oral medication for cats including tablets & liquids, must be able to be given in their food. Please ensure each medication is clearly marked with your pet’s name and dosage level.

*Please note we do not accept FIV positive cats or cats that have previously been diagnosed with Cat Flu *

Prices, Discounts & Cancellations

Our prices vary between peak and off-peak season, and the level of accommodation. All of our dog guests receive a complimentary Bondi Wash spa bath the afternoon before departure and a spritz of Harlow Harry cologne the morning of departure. We do not charge for the day of departure if your dog is picked up before 10:00 am. We do not charge extra to give your dog their daily exercise. However, it is possible to purchase extra ‘one on one’ playtimes, grooming and treats for your pet.

Please check our rates for accommodation and extra treats on our website.

For additional cats sharing the same room, we charge $25 per additional cat. For photos, video sessions and Playtime only one session is charged when the family pets are sharing the session.

Food

Cats in all levels of accommodation have a choice of Whiskers, Fancy Feast, Majesty, VIP Cat fresh meat, Tuna and Advance biscuits.

We understand, that many pets have special dietary requirements and requests. You are welcome to bring their special diets with them. We cannot offer a discount if you do supply your own food.

A common problem for all of us! We can organize a weight loss regime covering food and exercise for your cat whilst they are here.

Most guests are enjoying their food within a day or 2 of arriving. However, occasionally we have a cat that loses their appetite when they first come to stay. After 30 years of caring for cats, we know how to encourage our guests to relax and eat their food. We spend lots of time talking to them, making them feel safe and settled and of course we will always contact you if we feel we need to order in some special food to temp their appetite!

Arriving & What to Bring

We are proud to announce that we now have our very own Pet Taxi service starting from the 1st February 2023 running Monday to Friday for selected suburbs on the Northern Beaches and North Shore (we will be expanding our covered areas in the near future).

Please contact reception on (02) 9450 1579 for pricing or to make a booking.

We supply lots of comfy beds and blankets here for all of our guests. However, if your cat loves their bed, and finds it comforting, please bring it with them. We can’t guarantee that bedding will go home or come back in the same condition that it arrived (although we do try!). We do allow one bed/blanket and one toy per pet to be brought in. If you’re concerned, please purchase a bed from a discount store and have your cat use it a few nights prior to arrival. Their scent will then be on the bed and will still be a comfort to them.

We will ask to see your record of vaccination when you board with us.

Please note:

  • We cannot guarantee that bedding will return in the same condition.
  • We allow one bed/blanket and one toy per cat.

Cat Food and Dietary Needs

We understand that many cats have specific dietary needs. You are welcome to bring your cat’s special food to ensure they stick to their usual diet. However, we are unable to offer a discount if you choose to provide your own food.

Weight management is a common concern for pet owners. We can create a custom weight loss plan for your cat, combining a controlled diet and tailored exercise during their stay.

Most cats settle in and begin eating within a day or two of arrival. However, some may experience a temporary loss of appetite due to a new environment.

With over 30 years of experience in cat care, we know how to gently encourage cats to feel relaxed and comfortable enough to eat. We spend time soothing them, offering reassurance, and monitoring their behaviour. If necessary, we will contact you to discuss options, including sourcing special food to tempt their appetite.

No, only cats from the same family share enclosures.

We prioritise your cat’s health and well-being, which is why all our cattery guests enjoy complimentary access to a spacious exercise area for approximately two hours per day. This area is equipped with scratching trees, toys, logs, and chairs to keep them entertained. For their safety, we do not socialise cats unless they are from the same family.

Each Apartment enclosure features both indoor and outdoor sections, connected by a secure cat flap. This allows your cat to enjoy fresh air and a view of the garden and exercise area from the safety of their own space, even when it's not their turn for playtime.

All of our exercise areas have a covered roof.

All our accommodations are fully air-conditioned and heated for your cat’s comfort year-round.

Not at all! We warmly welcome our older guests, many of whom have been staying with us since they were kittens. Our fully heated and air-conditioned accommodation ensures they remain comfortable in all seasons.
